In the man-machine interface design of the touch screen, there are many ways to break through the dilemma of man-machine interface design behind closed doors, so that the designed man-machine interface conforms to the aforementioned human-oriented concept. However, a single method has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it is usually necessary to cross-evaluate more than three methods.
1) Heuristic Evaluation. Heuristic evaluation allows RD teams to find usability issues in human-machine interface products simply and quickly. In the process of heuristic evaluation, the evaluator compares the usability criteria list provided by the researcher to review the form and operation process of the human-machine interface products, and find out the items that violate the usability criteria. The advantage is that individual usability problems can be found and the needs of expert users can be listed. The disadvantage is that it does not include real users to think about, so it is impossible to find unexpected needs by experts.
2) Observation (Observation) is suitable for the research stage of operation analysis and investigation. It usually requires 3 or more users. The advantage is that it has an ecological effect and can clearly indicate the user's work. The disadvantage is If there is no experimenter in control, the results will be difficult to control.
3) Interviews and Questionnaires methods. Interviews are suitable for the operational analysis stage. Generally, 5 subjects are required. The advantage is that it is a flexible and in-depth survey of opinions and experience. The disadvantage is that it takes a long time and the results are very difficult to analyze and compare. The questionnaire is suitable for operational analysis and post-review research. It must have at least 30 subjects. The advantage is that the subjective preferences of the subjects can be discovered and it is easy to repeat. The disadvantage is that to avoid misunderstandings, prior testing is required.
4) Logging actual use. More than 20 test subjects are required to record the complete use results, using link analysis (Linkanalysis), layout analysis (Layoutanalysis), work level analysis (Hierarchicaltaskanaly- heart), etc. The advantage is that high habituation or non-conventional forms can be found , The disadvantage is that a large amount of information is required to analyze the content, which may infringe the user's privacy.
5) Direct user feedback method (Userfeedback). It requires hundreds of subjects to participate for a long time and is suitable for post-review research. The advantage is that it can continuously track whether the user's requirements and opinions have changed. The disadvantage is that it requires a specific organization to perform tasks such as asking questions and recovering data on a fixed basis.
(4) Design principles of human-machine interface
The quality of human-machine interface design is directly related to the designer's experience. Some principles are applicable to almost all good human-machine interface designs. Generally speaking, it can be in terms of interoperability, information, display, and data input. consider.
1) In the same man-machine interface, all menu selections, command input, data display and other functions should maintain consistent styles. A consistent human-computer interface will give people a simple and harmonious aesthetic.
