1. Operation precautions:

1. The display screen is made of glass, please do not apply mechanical shock, such as falling from a high place.

2. If the display is damaged and the internal liquid crystal leaks, do not let it enter the mouth. If it gets on clothes or skin, wash it off quickly with soap and water.

3. Do not apply excessive force to the display surface or the connection area of the LCD module, as this will cause the color tone to change.

4. The polarizer on the surface of the LCD module display screen is soft and easy to scratch. Please handle it carefully.

5. If the surface of the LCD module display screen is dirty, wipe it with a soft dry cloth. If it is severely stained, wipe it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (alcohol), dampened with a cloth.

6. Other solvents may damage the polarizer, especially water, ketones, fragrances, etc.

7. When using the mounting holes to install the LCD module, ensure that it is not twisted, bent or deformed. Deformation can have a significant impact on display quality.

8. When installing the LCD module, do not forcibly pull or bend the I/O leads or the backlight leads.

9. Touching the TAB of the LCD module may cause abnormal display. Do not touch the TAB.

10. Do not disassemble the LCD module.

11. The NC pin should be left open and not connected to anything.

12. If the power of the logic circuit is cut off, do not input a signal.

13. In order to prevent electrostatic damage to the components, maintain a good working environment.

       a. When handling the module, do not drop it on the ground.

       b. Assembling tools, such as soldering irons, must be properly grounded.

       c. In order to reduce the generation of static electricity, do not perform assembly and other work in a dry environment.

       d. The LCD module has a layer of film to protect the display screen. Be careful when removing this protective film, because static electricity may be generated.

14. Avoid opening the circuit, and be careful of the operation of heat-sealing paper.

15. The edge of the glass screen is sharp, handle it carefully.

2. Storage precautions

When storing the LCD module, avoid direct exposure to sunlight or fluorescent light. Store the LCD module in an anti{{0}}static bag, and store it at room temperature and humidity. (Avoid high humidity/high temperature and low temperature below 0 degree .) If possible, the LCD module should be stored under the conditions when shipped from our company.

Three, other

1. At low temperatures (below the storage temperature range), the solidification of liquid crystals will cause directional defects or produce bubbles (black or white). Air bubbles are also generated when the liquid crystal module is vibrated strongly at low temperatures.

2. If the LCD module works for a long time and displays the same pattern, the pattern will remain on the screen like a phantom and there will be subtle contrast differences. If you want to regain normal working conditions, you can temporarily stop using it for a while. It is worth noting that this phenomenon will not have an adverse effect on the reliability of the performance.

Tips for using LCD

1. The liquid crystal display (LCD) should prevent the DC component of the driving voltage from applying a DC voltage as small as possible. Do not exceed 50mV at most. Long-term application of excessive DC components will cause electrolysis and electrode aging, which will reduce the life.

2. The liquid crystal display (LCD) should be protected from ultraviolet radiation: liquid crystal and polarizers are organic, and photochemical reactions and degradation will occur under ultraviolet radiation. Therefore, when assembling the liquid crystal display device, consider whether it needs to be installed in the front according to its purpose and use environment. Anti-ultraviolet filter or other anti-ultraviolet methods. Avoid long-term direct sunlight when using it.

3. The liquid crystal display (LCD) should be protected from the corrosion of harmful gases: the liquid crystal and polarizers are organic and chemically reacted and deteriorated in the environment of harmful gases, so harmful gas isolation measures should be taken when using them, and after the whole machine is assembled , Do not carry out sealed storage for a long time to prevent the excessive concentration of chemical gas generated by the plastic casing and circuit board cleaning agent from damaging the liquid crystal and polarizer.

4. The liquid crystal display device is made of two pieces of glass, with only 510um between them, which is very thin. Moreover, the inner surface of the glass is coated with a layer of oriented film, which is easy to damage. Therefore, the following points should also be noted: Do not apply excessive pressure on the surface of the liquid crystal device to avoid damage to the alignment layer. In case of excessive pressure or hand-pressing of the device during the assembly process, it shall be allowed to stand for an hour before turning on the power. Remember not to have drastic temperature changes during the power-on process. The pressure should be even when installing, only press the side of the device, not the middle, or tilt and force.

5. Since the liquid crystal state will disappear beyond a certain temperature range, it must be stored and used within the specified temperature range. If the temperature is too high, the liquid crystal state will disappear and become liquid, the display surface will be black, and it will not work. Please be careful not to power on at this time, and it can recover by itself after the temperature drops. If the temperature is too low, the liquid crystal begins to freeze, causing permanent damage. In addition, if stored at extreme temperatures for a long time or subjected to vibration or shock, the LCD will also generate bubbles.

6. Prevent glass breakage: Since the display device is made of glass, if it is lost, the glass will definitely break. Therefore, the assembly method and the vibration and impact resistance of the assembly must be considered during the design of the whole machine.

7. Moisture-proof of the device: Due to the low voltage and low power consumption of the liquid crystal display device, the resistivity of the liquid crystal material is extremely high (above 1X1010Ω). Therefore, the conductivity of the glass surface caused by moisture may cause the phenomenon of "stringing" between segments when the device is displayed. Therefore, the design of the whole machine must consider moisture-proof. In normal times, try to place it at a temperature of 5-30 degree and a humidity of 65 percent .

8. Cleaning treatment of the liquid crystal display device: Since the surface of the liquid crystal is made of plastic polarizer and reflector, scratches and stains should be avoided when assembling and storing. In addition, there is a protective film on the front polarizer, which is removed during use. If the surface of the device is contaminated, it can be treated with a soft muslin cloth or cotton. If you must use solvents to clean, you can only use isopropanol (glycerin), alcohol, freon, and never use acetone, aromatic solvents, such as toluene, etc., otherwise the polarizer on the surface of the device will be damaged.

9. If it is an LCD with metal pins, when soldering the pins, the solder joints should be 4mm or more away from the root, and they should not be subjected to excessive force or overheating to avoid damage to the connection. The maximum temperature resistance of the joint shall not exceed 80 degree . Do not use detergent to clean the pins, because the detergent will decompose chlorine in sunlight and form hydrochloric acid after absorbing water, which will corrode the electrode.
